Annual Bible Symposium, with Rev. Dr. Wesley Hill

Note: Our Bible Symposium speaker will be the preacher on November 22 at 8 AM and 10 AM. This is Christ the King Sunday and he will preach on "Thy Kingdom Come." This will be a continuation of his teaching on the Lord's Prayer and an opportunity to hear an additional teaching by Fr. Hill on the Lord's Prayer.

Fr. Hill is an Episcopal priest and associate professor of biblical studies at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and a priest associate at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Pittsburgh. His PhD in New Testament is from Durham University in the UK. He is the author of Paul and the Trinity: Persons, Relations, and the Pauline Letters (Eerdmans, 2015),  and The Lord's Prayer: A Guide to Praying to Our Father (Lexham, 2019). A contributing editor for Comment magazine, he writes regularly for Christianity Today, The Living Church, and other publications.

10 AM: "Calling God 'Father'"

10:45 AM: 15 minute intermission

11 AM: "The Peaceable Reign of God — Now and Not Yet"

12 PM: Doors close

The 2020 Bible Symposium will be held in accordance with Covid 19 safety guidelines. You must wear a mask to be admitted to the Cathedral. We will do our best to provide socially-distanced and safe seating. To enable us to do so, we request that you keep your mask on throughout the event.

Tickets are sold on the website on a first-come, first serve basis. No tickets will be sold at the door. Sales end November 20. Please read and fill out the registration form carefully.

We will assume that tickets purchased together are for those who will sit together, and that single tickets are for seats six feet away from other seats. There is a space on the form for questions or concerns. Please watch your email in the days before the event for important updates.

We regret that we are not able to safely provide lunch or snacks. We request that you do not bring food to the Cathedral and that you bring your own water bottle and take it with you when you leave.
