Letter from the Bishop-in-Residence
Dear Friends of the Cathedral: The Cathedral of All Saints is a very special place for me, a holy place where I have worshiped and worked for forty years. I can hardly tell you how much it means to have shared these years with you. The Cathedral of the Diocese of Albany has touched countless lives as the spiritual center of Episcopalians throughout northeaster New York. It is a place of faithfulness and caring, learning, and leadership where the proclamation of Christ is given form and focus. The Cathedral's Adventure in Faith Campaign will secure the funding we need for three vital purposes: the preservation of the Cathedral itself and its artistic treasures; the renovation of thousands of square feet of space for new and renewed ministries to the community, Diocese, and Cathedral congregation; and the creation of endowments to support these programs and maintain the Cathedral for future generations. Like the adventure in faith taken by Bishop doane more than one hundred years ago, this campaign is our opportunity to provide create and vibrant ministries of outreach. Together we can continue the Cathedral's great presence as a holy place of worship and prayer for all people. The Right Reverend David S. Ball |
