The Cathedral of All Saints welcomes applications for the position of Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will work in the offices of the Cathedral and will take responsibility for various administrative tasks. The ability to work independently and as part of a larger team is paramount.
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible to the Dean of the Cathedral. Work hours are flexible but are estimated at 20 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 2pm.
The routine and exact duties of the Administrative Assistant vary each week however they include:
Answering the Cathedral phones, assisting callers, routing calls and taking messages.
Dealing with incoming Cathedral mail quickly and efficiently.
Maintaining the Cathedral Calendar and the Dean’s Calendar.
Issuing and drafting letters and correspondence for the Dean (proficiency on Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Gmail calendars is essential).
Coordinating large scale Cathedral Mailings.
Updating the various Cathedral databases.
Overseeing Cathedral Service contracts and renewal of office supplies.
Organizing volunteers who visit the homebound each week.
Prepare Cathedral notices and birthday and anniversary notes which appear in the Cathedral service booklet.
- Attending the weekly Cathedral Staff Meeting.
